car work, part II

Welp, after I went all satan on my car last week, I ran some wires and decided to put everything back together and call it a day because I was tired.

Then on Tuesday, I went to see my insurance agent to actually make my claim for the stolen radio back in January. And that changed my plan, because they're just going to send me a new radio and pay for installation. Who knows if this means that someone's just going to steal it again before I move into a place with a garage, but hell.

It almost makes things easier, except that I have to replace the speakers in the car. During my car-rippin'-apart session, I discovered that the rear speaker installation job was exactly, uh, professional. Yes, dumbass, if you don't have the speaker brackets, you're supposed to get the brackets, not just hang them there by one screw.

Did the walk from here up to Twin Peaks, over to Mt. Sutro and up, then down to Inner Sunset yesterday. One of these days, I'm going to do Mt. Davidson, Twin Peaks, Mt. Sutro, Golden Gate Heights, Presidio. Or something.
